I am finally getting my new sound system installed and piecing it together. I was fortunate to know somone that used to do car audio for about 10 years and many people flocked to his establishment to get his services. He also helped me with explaining how audio works and what items were best.
As it is now, I have the Pioneer DEH7500 headunit and the Pioneer 12 disk cd changer. I have 2 of each thanks to a fedex screw up
Gonna wait it out and eventually sell the other set.
Anyways, I am doing that with Rockford fosgate speakers front and rear. 6 1/2s round. All will have crossovers. Also doing a RF 12" sub and all of it is going to be powered by a RF 4 channel amp rated for about 2400w. This system won't strain the alternator or the battery and that is what I wanted to avoid.
Eventually I will be adding an XM receiver and antenna to complete the system and maybe another 12" sub.
Here is what I have...

Here is what I will be getting in the next month ..

I think this will be a nice system. I am staying clear of the "oval" speakers as I have been told by numerous people that the best speaker - is always round. I have to agree as the sound is alot more crisp and less distorted.
What do you all think? Also, while I have the car doors off and seats out, I want to install sound dampening. I heard alot about the other alternatives to dynamat and wanted to hear everyones opinion on that. One is called brown bread and the other is like dynamat, but I can't recall the name.
Suggestions?
Thanks for looking
