Just wanted to say hi, and also have a question.

I can usually find things in my Taurus repair manual, but for some reason I'm having trouble finding where the TRS or Neutral Safety Switch is located on a 1990 Taurus GL with Column Shift and Automatic Transmission. :dunno:

Can anybody tell me where it is located wether on top of the transmission or on the column? Where exactly is it located?

Thanks in advance!

Same place on all Taurii.

Under the hood on the top of the transmission.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it! I will take a look tonight when I get back to the house. I have never replaced one of these parts in any of the vehicles I have owned and didn't know where to start looking.

Don't forget to adjust the TRS when you install it. This is the procedure for the gen 3; I believe it's similar for all Taurii.

To adjust it, install the TRS and only hand-tighten the bolts. Attach the shift cable to the TRS, and put the car in neutral. Then, rotate the TRS so that the mark on the housing with an "N" by it lines up with the mark on the TRS and tighten it down.
