Need Snow Chains By Friday!

Alrighty guys, as many of you probably read, I'm going to Tahoe this weekend, however I didn't learn that I'll be driving till Friday. Turns out I have a Calculus test that of course I need to take. Originally I was just gonna ditch class that day, but not with a test. So now I need to get some snow chains that hopefully won't eat up my tires too bad.

I definitely want all 4 considering this is my first time driving in the snow (first for everything and now's as good a time as any) and these are of course FWD and I don't want the back getting loose in a turn.

SO, can anyone ship me some chains that I can borrow for about a week. I'm in the 95051 zip code, and I'll of course wash them off and ship them back along with a check to pay for shipping them too me, plus a little extra for the trouble as a thank you. I don't want to buy them as I won't be going often enough to make it worth it, but there aren't any places that will rent chains.

Or if you know where I can get them cheap, like 30-40 bucks, let me know.

Oh yeah, this is for the stock tires of course P215-60R16.
PM me if you can help. Thanks guys

Actually I'm in San Jose, the South San Francisco Bay Area (aka Silicon Valley with the collapsed bubble dome)

Hey Elliot, I would certainly get a set of the cable "chains" (I know contradiction of terms, but you know what I mean). The cables are much easier to install, less wear on tires and IMO give better traction on the ice, I would get a set of 4, Tahoe is so close (3-4 hours) that if you buy a set I'm sure you will use them more than once. Additionally, it will encourage you to go since you have the equipment. They usually require chains on Donner pass as well. I got stuck at Donner's Pass for about 4 hours coming back from Reno, they closed the road because of heavy snowfall, this was about 2 years ago, so me and about 10 buddies all piles into one of the guys Excursion and watched DVDs til they open the road back up. So bring some to occupy your time, just in case, also pack some munchies for the ride back too, just in case. Be careful and drive within your abilites and you should be fine. Have a great time.

Thanks again guys.

Yeah, Checker/Schucks/Kragen's wants 30 per pair. I'll likely get 2 pairs (the whole rear end thing), unless you guys are positive I won't need them. Weather outlook says it's snow, snow, snow....WOO HOO!! AND it all clears up Friday. YAY!!!! Fresh snow just for us.
And all the other scmucks on the hill <_<

Anything else you guys would suggest? So far I've got....
1) Oil change (little early, but it's good)
2) Rotate and balance tires (what about that continental's tread depth of .155" and should I keep it on the back or put it up front?)
3) Get chains (Two or Four Wheels and what about the continental?)
4) Take pictures of clean car before snow so I can feel all you midwest people's pain when I get back
5) Post lots of pictures

Any other suggestions?

BUMB!

What else do you guys think I need for Tahoe?

Aside from the list just remember the key to driving in the snow; slow and steady inputs. That means, no sudden turns at the wheel, hard braking, hard accelerating, etc. I drove through two of the heaviest snow storms in NYC (roughly 8" over night, each night...not much compared to what the mountain folk see though
) and while the taxis were busy fishtailing and sliding along (one almost took me out with its back end <_< ), I was just chugging along no worries.

Thanks for all the help so far guys. See you when I get back
