um...my mom lost the remote keychain for my taurus, it didn't work, but i was planning on getting it programmed at the dealership. My 98SE taurus comes with power locks but no security alarm, anyone know how much it would cost to program the remote just to open the locks? and how much the remote itself would cost?

You can get a remote at a junkyard a LOT cheaper & you can program it yourself. Look in the car's owners manual for how to do it . I've done it myself without any problems.

There are also all over EBay for a few bucks. Just keep an eye on the shipping. A lot of times they will jack up the shipping to like ten bucks for the remote that you won for a dollar (hate when that happens).
