my friend who had a taurus car suddenly started smoking out the exhaust thick white smoke , could this be the head gaskets or the heads cracked?
exhaust smells like antifreeze, thinkin about trying some bars leak in the cooling system to see if that helps,


any help would be great asap

Most likely the head gaskets. Check the oil. If it looks like chocolate milk, it's definatly the head gaskets.

Be aware too that the radiator will likely leak too. This happened to me with my 95 Taurus - the dealer said that the end caps on the radiator are plastic & will crack when you start pumping all that pressure that normally remains in the cylinder into the cooling system.
