I left Tulsa Ok this morning with the 00SES all shined up, new synthetic oil change
every thing ready to go.
Drove about 150 miles to Oklahima City and made three sales calls.
Ate lunch and headed for Texas on I40. I noticed my cruise control wouldn't come on. I would push the buttons and the cruise light would come on and it would shut off and the car would slow down. It would only stay on for 3 or 4 seconds. I kept messing with it and it wouldn't even come on. I tilted the wheel hoping it wasn't in the wiring in the steering column. Drove to Shamrock Texas and filled up with gas.
As I was doing that I got under the hood and checked vacuum lines and electrical connectors and couldn't see anything obvious.
Got back on the interstate and it would come on for a couple of miles and then turn off. afteer three or four times It finally stayed on for the hundred or so miles into Amarillo. I stopped at Wal mart and bought some batteries for some test equipment and the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack(still trying to figure that out)
Headed north to Dumas Tx about 40 miles and once again cruise would come on about 3 seconds and quit.
I will get my manual and cd and multimeter on it when I get home this weekend but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Just as I was pulling into beautiful Dumas Tx one of my customers called and pushed back a 100,000 dollar job that I had sold until fourth quarter. I would have got about 5K on April fifteenth for it.
I get out of my car to go to my room and somehow when I went to pull my phone out of its cradle it started spinning end over end and exploded into about a thousand pieces in the parking lot.
Then when I went to get my bag out of the trunk I noticed that on the trunk lid at the crease about 1 1/2" from where it meets the bumper there is a three inch dent along that crease that cracked the paint.
I am also having to access the net on AOL for 6cents a minute at about 200KPS
I am going to go get a sack of Tacos and a Diet Dr. Pepper.
If anyone could help with the cruise control thing I would appreciate it. I will log back on later tonite.
