Ok so i'm not much of a mechanic but i have all the tools to do this so i'm going to try and save a little money by doing this myself. I don't have any cash til friday so i can't buy a manual but this has to be fixed today because i work tomorrow. I am a delivery driver so i can't just hitch a ride to work. I know where it is at but what are the necessary steps to replacing the old one with the new one. Details will be appreciated. Thank you

You don't have a SOHC engine, no such beast. You either have a Vulcan single cam push-rod OHV 3L or a Duratec DOHC 3L.

FYI, use only a Motorcraft thermostat, not the cheap discount parts store junk.
