You can buy everything that the NASCAR teams use. Like Aluminum radiator's, fuel cell's, there engines, even entire cars. Prices are not that bad because it is used.

Looks like a lot of the stuff on the site goes to dead links or pages with just numbers on them. I also wouldn't trust a $12000 "NASCAR" engine. NNC or Busch engines probably cost somewhere in the 40K range.

$12000 sounds about right to me cause i work on a race car for some small town racing but it is still all the same stuff an for our motor we payed $8500 for it .. it is just a 350 block punched to a 355 with a cam pistons aluminum heads and other goodies and the are all carb any way so there real is not a hole lot ther.

Yeah, but small town racing is not Nascar Nextel Cup. Big difference there. You're talking engines that put out maybe 450 horse. NNC engines are in the 800+ range.

Well, he did say they were used. Maybe the engine blew and they thought they could get 12k for it. :headscratch:

Maybe...I guess you might be able to get a NASCAR prepped USED engine for 12K...Not sure that it would be the best thing for an individual application though. If someone were looking to build an engine up with 12K, they might be able to do some other things for the same price. I don't think their engines are worth it though...

For twelve grand you can make a lot more than 800 horse out of a 350 or 351 cid V8.

I'd love to get my hands on an ex Nascar Taurus. Make it street legal, and do what I can to make it look like a real Taurus (from 20 feet away or whatever). That would be fun.

I saw one on eBay a couple years ago for like $26K, no motor or trans, but everything else. It was a Cale Yarborough built car...can't remember which team it was for. I see them every once in awhile in local Auto Shoppers...typically ex-short track Nascar North Series cars.

LMAO. a nascar motor turning 8000-9000 RPM, let alone 10,000... they might[I/] be gracing 7k. during a race though i would imagine it stays right around 5-6k, if that. the motors dont have to rev high at all. heck, the drivers barely have to move their foot, if they even move it at all...

apperently you dont watch NCR. The engines do indeed run 9000 rpm.And that is DURING the race.
