QUESTION: I have a leak of some unknown liquid (possibly oil but not sure), on the drivers front side behind the wheel. If you turn your wheels all the way to the left and look towards the front of the car, there is a panel with like a couple pipes/hoses by it, one of them is leaking and idk what it is. Can someone tell me what it may be ? Thanks.

Sounds like it could be either brake fluid or PS fluid. Check master cylindr to see if its low. Do you have a solid pedal or is pumping brakes neccesary? WELCOME YOUNG MAN!

Can you sop up some of it with a clean white

towel (paper or cloth) and describe the color and feel?

light translucent yellow/green (not fluorescent) is likely antifreeze

light - dark translucent pink is likely PS fluid or ATF

clear but oily is likely brake fluid

I used a paper towel and its a light-pink color. I checked my fluids and it appears to be PS fluid. I looked at the transmission dipstick and it is within the cross hatches so that isnt low and PS could be low, but the reservoir is dirty so I cant really line up the fluid. I have to clean it to make sure its that.
