After looking at the pics and reading a few of the NHTSA scare stories, I have decided that I am simply going to replace the front springs on my 99 Taurus. I commute 90 miles per day and I'm not going to take the chance of shredding a sidewall at 90 mph because Ford wants to put a "tire protection device where a properly functioning coil should be.

My question is: how much time should it take to replace the front springs in a shop? I can get the parts at dealer cost, but I need to know how much to budget for the labor. Any ideas? What about the rears?

Thanks in advance.
