I just changed my rotor and pads on the front driver's side of my 96 GL. I took the car for a spin afterwards and at first everything seemed normal. The car got up to speed very nicely and was running very smooth. I came to a complete stop (no more rotor shake), went to take off and the brakes started grinding. I had to rev the engine at 3k just to get home. I'm guessing the caliper is stuck but I'm not sure. Any ideas?

Possible. If caliper pin lacks lubrication and is stuck, you can tell. Pull out the pin and examine. Flexible brake hose may have deteriorated inside.
