Sounds a lot like my exhaust... 2.5" piping + dual flowmaster 40's + Magnaflow resinator.

I just had the stock muffler replaced with a Flowmaster 40 Series Deltaflow - stock resonator still intact - I have a 2001 Vulcan.

hell yeah. That settles it my first mod on my 99 vulcan is a 40 series flow. I've found em on ebay for around 39 but hoping to find one here local. I'm keeping my eyes open on a Dallas area Mustang message board. Those guys always have em for sale I just need to find one to fit.

woooo... thats cool ... i my self have a more sound out of the car . i totly removed the cat and resenator with a pipe .. and it sounds verey loude... and scary too.

FYI - IIRC the piping is 2.5" on the Gen 4's, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Gen 3's are 2.25".

Good luck with yours stang - I think you'll be quite happy with the flowmaster.

Thanks for the Clip, that alone answers alot of my questions, I've got a 98 Taurus with a Vulcan and was kinda hesitant in installing my new muffler, but i think now after hearing that clip i think i'm gonna go for it. Thanks Again!

No problem! What kind of muffler did you get? I was hoping by putting that clip out there it would help some people with their exhaust, nice to know it's helping.

I wish my exhaust sounded that good. But I decided to go for the extra 1/3 of a horsepower and removed the stock resonator when I got everything installed. Oh well, live and learn... <_<

The stock pipes are 2.25"

I noticed a pop too. Mine does that A LOT! Great sounding vulcan J. keep up the great work.
