Well, we all know Thunderbird rims fit the Taurus...but today I saw a Thunderbird with...MUSTANG rims??? Does that mean the Mustang rims will fit Tauri??

Nope. Mustangs have either a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern, or the older ones had 4-lug wheels. The Taurus is 5 on 4.25, or 108mm.

I don't know, though... I've seen plenty of SHO's with Cobra R's, even though I doubt the offset is the same.

If you saw "Mustang"wheels ona Taurus it was one of the following things:

1. ActualMustang wheels with a spacer/bolt pattern adapter. (not likely at all)

2. Mustang "style" wheels made for the Taurus bolt pattern/offset. In one of my Mustang mags there is a company that makes reproduction Mustang wheels and they list the Taurus as available cars.

Its the Cobra R rims that were also made in the 5x4.25" pattern for the Thunderbird that is often seen on many SHO's.
