Hey man, I was writing down all the mods I have done to the Sable. So far, I got a good $1068 spent on nothing but PURE MODIFICATIONS. I also plan on spending a good $2,453 total on the car. Let me know what you guys have spent on your cars. Thanks man!

Pioneer mp3/cd player: $250
K&N panel filter: $40
...and that's about it. I've spent more than that in repairs though

I think this is pretty much it. Note, most of these things are still not installed so I'm sure the final total will be much higher with the installation costs. Also, this doesn't include any of the maintenance costs. That's probably another $1k easy.

. . . damn, I could of bought a SHO.

hmm... off the top of my head...

Home-Made CAI:
-MAF adapter = $26
-K&N filter = $35
-Tube = $4

Battery relocation:
-Taylor Vertex kit = ~$130
-Odyssy battery = $92

Shift Kit:
-parts = ~$50
-labor = $400

Superchips:
-blue program chip = $225

Torque Strap:
-chain $3
-hardware = $1.50

Catback exhaust:
-flowmaster = $20
-pipes, tip, and labor = $300

UDP:
-parts = ~$130
-labor = $100

Weight Reductions:
-floormats = $10
-antenna = $7

VAK = $100


About $1633.50 worth of go-fast mods dumped into my 97 taurus. Should be well over $2000 after this summer. Kind of sad how much money I've put into this car and it's still freakin slow.

i myself have only spent $5 on the car, and that was for a cd player adapter

but, there is over $300 in aftermarket on the car

mesh grille-- freebie from dad
cd player- $15 used from freind
sub- $30 used (nick got it from someone at work)
rims- $40 to have them swaped onto the tires
alarm- $250?

either way, for how good it looks, i havnt spend anything

Like others have said, check out the Garage. Many people have spent thousands of dollars on their cars!

Not much here - I am poor bast.

Just the stereo system and the premium wheels is about the only things.

I wouldn't mind doing a lot more but I would be afraid even if I DID have the $$$, someone would smash into my car.
