With vacation over it was time to tackle the rear cylinder head in the wife's car. Other than trying to work around the pia wire harness it wasn't that hard of a job. So with the head off the #1 exhaust valve looked to be bent sine it was stuck open. This is what a Ford Tech, who I ran into while in the Philippines, thought might be a problem. So down to the machine shop to get it straightened out. Well magnafluxing showed the head to be cracked around the #1 combustion chamber making this head a door stop. A complete re-manufactured head will run $375 with the old as a core and arrive in a day. How the head cracked I will never know. How the valve got bent I will also never know. With a replacement head and a smoothly running car for the wife... Priceless :)
