you can pass inspection down to about 1.5mm (2/32"), so you have about 1/2 of the tire's life left.

Minimum Tire Depth
Im wondering what the minimum tire depth is? I cant find it written on the tire, and when I measured it with my tire depth gauge, the gauge read 5mm.
I know I need new ones soon, Im just curious.

Tires have a tread depth indicator in them. Look for a bar that runs across the tread. There ususally are three of them per tire. When your tread depth equals this bar's height then they are wore out.
