Mark Up Another One For The Sho

So, Friday night, I went down to the local spot to watch some races and found myself participating. I was talking to a guy while watching some races and he said he had a Thunderbird SC and asked if I was interested in racing it. So, of course, I didn't back out. Now he said that the SC was stock except for the the exhaust, and last year he had a SC pulley on it, but took it off this year. Why, I don't know. So, I thought this might be a good time to try out the new clutch. We raced twice. The first one we both spun, but I regained traction before he did and put about 3 car lengths on him by the end of the 1/4 mile. We came back and he said he was manually shifting his auto and wanted to try it again. So we lined up again. We both had a much better launch and I immediately put 4 car lengths on him through 1st and 2nd gear and kept it till the end. Does anyone know what a "stock" SC runs in the quarter mile? I knew that it should be a great race for the stock SHO. But I thought it would have been a closer race at the end. Maybe it all just came down to the drivers. Any info would be great.

Yes, it was at Randazzo's, but we raced at Plymouth and Rouge Park. I might try to get out there again this weekend weather permitting.
Friday night is usually when I head down there after work. Saturdays are no good for me because I don't think it is wise to take my 5 year old down there.
I head down there at about 11pm. Last weekend there were more people from what I heard. But this past Friday, there were about 20 people racing, and some spectators.

Tman- do you remember the guy that we talked to down there about doing Taurus heater cores and clutches? Well I decided to give him a shot since I was low on cash and need to get the clutch taken care of. From what I can tell, he is a pretty reputable guy and resonable.
Sounds like fun. I put on 2 new "crappy" tires on the front, so for now, I am good to go.
