where could i find the map sensor on a 1991 taurus 3.0l, it's not in the usual spot on the fire wall.

That's because you don't have a MAP sensor.

The MAP sensor was replaced in 1991 with a MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor), which is located on the airbox lid inline with the intake duct.

oh really, oh well i guess the guy over at the ford dealership was wrong about that, and he also told me that my ball joints were shot, he was wrong about that also, the tie rods were shot, what a dumbass.

MAP sensor on firewall was replaced by the MAF on the air intake. But the Barometric Air Pressure sensor, which looks a lot like a MAP sensor, is mounted on the firewall. It just doesn't have the vacuum hose connected to the intake manifold.

Barometric Air Pressure sensor, is that a small black square box in the middle of the firewall, and how do i check to see if it's still good
