Today the low coolant light came on, on my 99 Taurus SE Duratec. I checked the radiator overflow and it is full. The gauge reads normal temp. I was thinking maybe the overflow/reserve had a sensor that may be going bad. Anyone have an idea on what's causing this.

common issue....the sensor died....you need a new one. Its on the underside of the tank and just pops out. I dont think you can getjust the sensor anymore. May need the whole tank.
The easy way out is to just unplug the sensor and the light will go out....
