The low coolant light comes on, the resovoir is full and their is no sensor in the resovior to replace, this problem started after i put a bottle of flush cleaner in and flushed the system out.

you have a tec engine? haha just saw the profile.....
Coolant LEVEL sensor -

Located on the bottom of the coolant reservoir.
You can see two wire connector protruding towards the fender-side.
It is built into the reservoir tank bottom so whole unit gets replaced.

can be removed and cleaned a couple of hoses and iirc a 10mm

Before you do anything, remove about half of the coolant that is in the expansion tank. Top it off with straight antifreeze. NOT the 50/50 premix.
The sensor does two things. It measure the level of the coolant AND the specific gravity of the coolant. If the problem occured after flushing, I guarantee this will fix the problem. 50/50 mixes that I have used are not strong enough to make the float rise.

Paker,
I can't answer that but I think they did away with the coolant sensor altogether around 2001. I think it was due to the problems with the light coming on all the time.
