I have a 97 Taurus that is losing coolant water out of the radiator cap. It happens whenever I turn A/C on or in hot weather. I have a new cap from Ford a week ago but not help. It is not overheating with normal temp gauge and is not overfilled (it is at bottom line). There is no leak of coolant anywhere else. I had a flusing a month ago. The car runs great and smooth, no strange noise even with 90K miles. I replaced the tank (crack in the bottom) 4 years ago. Anyone know what's wrong with it? Thanks.

If you are absolutely sure its leaking from your cap I too would recommend replacing it. I bought mine from NAPA for around 5 bucks and it seems to work OK.

Now I won't sleep wondering if he ever got that cap fixed...

Oh, that's funny! I was about to reply because I had the same problem with my car. I would never have noticed the date on the post. Lucky for me, others are more observant!

No I believe the question is why/how does T.C.C.A. bring back questions that were asked years ago?
Somebody figured out how to use the SEARCH function.......
