I like this sound.
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2002-Fo...ratec_57896.htm

Anyone know what Walker exhaust this is? I see quiet flow but which series?[/b]
"2002 Ford Taurus Duratec Exhaust Clip. Dual Walker Quietflow 2 Mufflers & SHO rear Y-Pipe."

I suspect they are universal, 2-2.25" in/out offset/offset mufflers, with aftermarket tips, adapted to a G3 SHO rear y-pipe. There is no direct fit V8 SHO exhaust cat-back available from Walker (aka Dynomax)

It says walker quiet-flow 2, its just they'r latest quiet flow muffler, they also came out with a stainless version of the quietflow. They are stock replacement mufflers, the Op of the video says it just sounds loud b/c the camera is right there. These mufflers will sound very close to stock.

ok so exhaust videos can be literally completely different to what the car actually sounds like.

InterceptorSEL's car (the one in the vid) had basically a stock dual exhaust, the walker mufflers are like 5% louder at the most, and it just sounds good because the camera is close to the car.

listen to my old taurus 01 tec, with a summit turbo, which sounded just like stock from the outside i could only here it at moderate accelerate around 40mph, otherwise it was a waist of money for a sound increase (but who cars the muffler costs $30!)

anyways, the way i have the camera makes it sound awsome! check it out

or if you want um....slightly more aggressive (just kidding you will wake the nieghbors) try a straight pipe like this:

im going to try on my sable an exhaust almost 100% like mark's (ffvulcanpowah) well his old setup anyways heres a clip of that just to hear it, keep in mind it is a FFV vulcan so it sounds different but i think with the same setup you could get similar sound.

also you really cant go wrong with flowmaster 40 or 50 series, as well as magnaflows, not really sure which muffler exactly but both sound good on these cars, really deep.

standard flow 40 had lots of drone on my 01 taurus though thats my only complaint.

I found on my 02 sable with the vulcan that simply removing the muffler and allowing the stock resonator to act as the muffler, which it dose a pretty good job of doing that, that I have a nice low end rumble to my exhaust similar to that of a V6 mustang. Crusing at highway speeds it is not overly loud and produces a nice tone. Plus now I have a nice chrome tip. :D

duratec sounds nuts without a muffler. too loud and a bit raspy, hence why i plan to add a magnaflow resonator when i go to straight pipes
