I love the Original Ford Taurus. I appreciate what that car has done for the auto industry and how it saved Ford. Because of that I want to save and restore one of these cars. I want to find a fully loaded 1986 Ford Taurus LX Wagon and restore it. Can anyone out there help me find one?

I want one with specific features and a specific color.

I want the LX wagon to be in this color. Here's two examples:

I believe this color is called "Medium Canyon Red." Correct me if I'm wrong.

I want the car to have the front bench seats for seating 6. It's okay whether or not it has the rear facing seat.
I want the car to have the keyless entry keypad, digital gauge cluster, and electronic climate control.

The car's interior should be gray NOT red. Like this:

If anyone finds one like I've described for sale anywhere, online, on a car auction website, Ebay, Craigslist, or know someone who is selling one like the one I want notify me IMMEDIATLY. These cars are getting very hard to find but I know I'll eventually get one. I found another 86 LX Wagon that was auctioned this year with all the features I want but it was beige and not red.

When I get the car I want I'll do a restoration blog and I'll post videos of the car on YouTube. If anyone can help me out in finding the one I want and keeps there eyes out for me that would be very much appreciated!

I also have a few other options for other years and models of the G1 Taurus but first and foremost I want the 86 LX Wagon in what I described in my first post. I really hope I find the one I'm looking for sometime soon or next year.

I found a 87 LX Wagon, and a 88 LX Wagon.. Both are really cheap considering.

87 Vulcan, kinda a plain jane

88 Essex, fairly loaded

I actually looked at the 88 LX online a few weeks ago. It's the right color for the exterior and interior. Only problem is that it has the Essex engine. Thanks for showing me these finds! I also found an 86 LX Wagon in silver on craigslist for sale in Seattle yesterday, but it wasn't the right color both interior and exterior, and it wasn't fully optioned. But if you can find an 86 LX Wagon with all the options I listed and in Medium Canyon Red Metallic with a grey interior. Let me know immediately!

I've been searching craigslist a lot and there was quite a few G1 LX Wagons on there. The Medium Canyon Red 86 LX Wagon I want hasn't shown up yet. G1 Taurus's seem to pop up quite often on Craigslist. Sonner or later the right one will pop up!

Just an update. If the medium canyon red 86 Taurus LX wagon I'm looking for is missing some of the features I want its okay since I can add them in later myself if I wanted to. Let me know if one shows up!

An update. I found a really great low mile good condition 1986 LX wagon in Oxford White with a Medium Gray Interior for sale. It has 74,000 miles on it and even has the rare Instaclear windshield option. The seller is willing to tow it from Portland to Spokane himself I just have to pay for the towing insurance. The car does need parts to get the fan working. Only problem is....

My dad won't let me buy the Taurus! Makes me quite frustrated because these cars are really incredibly difficult to find in good enough condition to restore.
