I Live in Long Island, NY. Whats the lowest legal amount of tint I can get?

I would just phone up the local police station and ask them. They are usually pretty willing to answer questions of people who want to obey the law.

What do they mean by "as1" and what exactly is the "visor"? When they say visor, I think of the flap thats meant to block the sun.

not sure what as1 means, but yes the visor is the thing that blocks the sun

The visor is that bluish tint on the top of the windshield. It's also the flappy thing with the mirror.

Wow, for once, CA may be a bit more generous than other states.

I don't think there *is* a maximum tint for the "visor". There is a limit as to how far down that tint (or banner) can extend.

And it's measured from the lowest depressed point of the seat, with the driver in the car to the bottom of the tint/banner.

So don't get it done, then lose a lot of weight.
