Anyone ever replaced the stock resistive taillights with LED ones?

If not, I was thinking about creating maybe a circular shape of LED's (to make a circle) in the back as it would probably fit the GenIII's pretty good with the type of body style it has.

Thoughts?

Closest I've come is putting Putco 360-degree LEDs in the tails which are pretty damn bright.

I would still add a resistor to your circuit. They carry them most places that sell automotive LED lights. While there are other workarounds for the turn signals, if you are going to put LEDs on the brake circuit, you must use a resistor.

Well, if you didn't use a resistor, that would create an open circuit and anybody that does this should know that's a big no no :)
