SO, last time, 3,000 miles ago, i changed the oil in the 95 vulcan, but it is now time to change again.

The K&N oil filter I bought was around $11. I use Valvoline "max life" 10W30, same oil I always use. This may sound silly, but would I be able to keep using this same filter , NOT change it for one more oil cycle? this is it's first 3K miles.

I know it never hurts to use a brand new one each time, but would it be redundant with this particular filter?

U can use this filter..

may be u can remove it and drain some of the dirty oil from it.

If the oil is dark and nasty now, I wouldn't reuse an old filter, k&n or not.

BTW, last k&n I got was for $1 because it was my friend's last day at discount.
