JW, or anyone, if rear jack points are corroded, where can you safely place a small floor jack for rear jacking? Iirc, you use the subframe mounts for front jacking?

I know some people have recommended a nice think plank of wood and jacking it up by that rear box where the "control arms" connect to.

If you jack it up with the board on the control arm box, make sure you use a short piece of 2x4 and run it parralel with the car. If it is too long, it will put force on the control arms.

This isn't much help, but this is the point I use on my windstar, I don't recall the taurus having something similar.

I can't exactly remember where I jacked the taurus in the rear.
Funny enough I jack at that point on my Windstar as well as someone crushed the jack point on the drivers side.
