just wondering if the transmission is the same in the 99 and the 00 both are velcons

As far as i know , around 2000 they changed the way the VSS signal is gotten. in the 2000+, it gets it from the ABS.

I don't think they will swap and run correctly.

And its "VULCAN" not velcons.

What i don't know is when ford changed to NO VSS, if the VSS hole is still
there with a cover over it, or they eliminated it all together in the case
casting. The VSS is by the steering rack passenger side facing up. Held to
the tranny case with a fork like retainer and a single bolt. If there is a cover
and its not casted out, it may be possible to put the sender in the newer
trannie.

There are also other issues that would have to be researched if the above
was possible. The gear ratios would have to be the same. You would have
to make sure the valve bodies and solenoids were the same. TC would have
to have the same lock up type.

My gut feeling is its a NO GO. But do your own research. These days, just because something will bolt in does not mean it will function as intended.
