Alright, I have an 2000 DOHC Sable with an intermittant crank no start condition that has been bugging me for a while. When I start the car in the morning, I'll crank the motor for 5 secs and it won't start. As soon as I try again it starts right up and runs perfect. I don't have a check engine light either. If I let the car sit for 5 mins or so, it will start just fine. I have even tried to turn the key 4-5 times to prime the fuel pump and that doesn't help. The only thing that happens is sometimes when doing the initial cranking, The engine seems to backfire a little and actually pops off a vacuum line from the rear of the upper intake manifold. I have also replaced the cam position sensor. I'm thinking it has something to do with the timing or the timing of the injectors. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Well looks like I didn't get any suggestions here, and I'm still annoyed with the no start condition, so I made an appointment at the local dealer to have it diagnosed tonight. I'll post the findings when I get the car back.

Dealer said my spark plugs needed replacing, pcv was hissing, and the intake gaskets were slightly leaking. I replaced everything and now it starts like it used to! The plugs that were in there were bosch platinums and I replaced with Autolite platinums.

Autolite platinums are what you want to use. Most all of the Bosch line will cause issues with your Sable.
