Well,
I wrecked my car february 22nd, the last problem on it from that incident is being fixed today. I'm paying for it, I said f*** the insurance. The guy called me today, and said my car was setup for "Street racing", I said there was a big difference between Street racing and Custom. He said it had bigger brakes.. I said... no replacement rotors. Water injection "smells like alcohol".. well I'm on the same bottle as when I had the accident, because I thought the last issue was due to the injection. Well the bottle during the accident (february remember..) had Alcohol in it so it wouldn't freeze and break the lines like the manufacturer suggested.

This car has been in the shop 4 times, 3 different shops, and JUST this last time they called me on it. The water has been disconnected, and the Insurance guy said I never told them I had that when I got my insurance, but as most of you know I've only started modding my car this past year.

Anyways, anyone run into this issue before?

Just because I have bigger suspension stuff, replacement rotors that DO NOT WARP, and water injection to get better gas mileage doesn't make me a street racer, why do they jump to that conclusion?

thats bs! id tahe a few articles in to the insurance company proving your point about the water injection and explain the thing about the rotos. then id procede to thell the guy: "Dont ever accuse me of somthing like this ever again, or you will personally regret it......EVER"

or you could be civil about it like most people and complain to his manager. ;)

I say fight it. Get their requirements for what goes under "street racer" and "custom" and go to an honest mechanic that will verify that all you have done is get better OEM level parts for the car. The big brake stuff is complete garbage. Any Ford mechanic worth half a quart of used Tranny fluid will know the size rotors of stock Gen4 brakes.

The water injection...I don't know - water injection was related to high-hp muscle cars back in the day, and might be classified as a "racing modification" due to the fact.

Youre insurance company sucks.

Id ditch them after this fiasco.

Print up the info from the website where you got the water injection kit from, that should suffice.

Kermitec, Let me remind you of which state you live in - Colorado.
I live here too. Remember, the insurance companies here are crooks from hell. Satan would be proud!
(well, no fault one week - at fault the next - the devil made us do it this week - )

You are dealing with the same type of companies that determine your premiums partially based on your credit score.

Just for funnies, when this blows over, mutter, "thank gosh you didn't see the NOS tank I have hooked up". :lol2:

Colorado man, I hate this F-ing state!

Kermit not Kermitec ;) Well, nothing came of anything it all blew over, obviously the "supervisor" knew more about stuff then these other guys.

The car is running great now and idles at 700 RPM, the PCM was FLASHED, not reflashed, it has a totally new program code IFIF-GE (dunno what that GE stands for).

Thanks for the support
