I know I am beating a dead horse here but I couldnt find what i need to know so sorry if this is a repost.

i have a G3 taurus and i want to buy the metra stereo kit and put in my alpine car cd player from my old car but when i went to circuit city they told me i needed to buy over 200 dollars in parts and keep the old oval radio hooked up in the trunk, i was like umm no, is this true, i cant just buy the metra kit and switch the parts in and out? thank you in advance for any help you can provide

They are incorrect, unless you have something that I'm not aware of. The stock head unit can be pulled, and the metra faceplate w/new cd player installed in its place. The kit will also supply a long wiring harness and antenna adapter to run to the trunk that will hook up to the factory speaker harness.

Circut City sells the kit for $50+ dollars on their website.
