Hi friends. Im sure people have asked about this before, but I wouldnt know where to look, so I started a topic.

The next mod I want to get is a superchip or performance chip of some kind. At the time I get the chip, I would also like to do larger injectors and fuel pump. I saw somewhere that the FFV motors (i have an ffv motor) have larger injectors than the regular vulcans. It said I had 23.5 lb/hr injectors. I really have no way of knowing if this is true or not, but if it is, then couldnt I just stick with those injectors and utilize the increased amount of fuel the chip will send without changing injectors? Now, if my car doesnt have the larger injectors, what size injectors would you recommend? Where might I find them from? What fuel pump should I use? Thanks for all of your help.

There is a sensor somewhere on the car that senses the gas/e85 mix. My car has a problem running lean, so maybe the chip will open things up a bit.

just a smart a** question "how do u know that u are running lean?" [/b][/quote]
Well, im not 100% sure that it is running lean. I know that when I put anything less than premium unleaded gas in my car, it pings like a bee-otch. What would that mean?

It means it's a vulcan.
A Vulcan with carbon in the combustion chambers. Time for Techron. [/b]
I suppose it is time to give the engine a good once over with some super good fuel cleaner and some pre-mi-um gas. This is what I get for buying a company car. The thing had to suffer through 3 years of regular gas only.
Now that the car is in my caring hands, the engine shall be squeaky clean inside and out.

after putting the true cold air intake on, any signs of pinging have diminished. The old short ram i had on it was making the air that the maf/iat received too freakin hot. Now, the colder air has richened her up a bit. Woo Hoo for CAI's!
