hi avery one .... i am a taurus fane and lover ... so some day i took my car around and notic another taurus se 2000 like mine .. so i desided to do a race ...the result was .... i won... but i did another run with the air sensor wire taken of the plug in the sensor .... and...... :blink: :blink: .....the car shifts at every point very very super fast , like i did a shift kit or chip program to the car... so it feels good ... but douse it bade or it is oky ;) ;)

Well, I wouldn't exactly try it without knowing what was going on first. I don't know exactly what sensor you're talking about, anyway; the MAF or the air temperature sensor? Well, anyway, messing with a sensor pretty much means running the car semi-blind, with the engine adjusting itself for the wrong parameters. This may mean better performance now (notice, this is rare), but it may often mean bad things down the long run.

BTW, work on your spelling and grammar :) (of course, no offense intended)

yeah but your car has that sensor for a reason. If it wasn't necessary, it probably wouldn't be there. Chances are it is making your engine run rich too which can lead to increased engine wear.

Very interesting. I was running around with a bad MAF for about a month before I realized it. I was running super rich and my performance went straight to hell. I don't see how unplugging your MAF is possibly helping you.

well, I smell bad, I get bad gas mileage, but I wont even give you the 0-60 numbers I get....maybe I have one of those "freak" duratecs. *ponders more*
