that's been making all the racket in my car lately but now I'm not so sure. The car is making the same sort of popping and crunching noise I've heard on previously owned taurus' I've owned.....and it was always the half shaft. The popping/crunching noises I'm hearing now are coming when I apply or release pressure on my breaks.....not only when I'm turning the wheel.

Check everything in the following order:

Strut Tension rod bushings, especially where they mount to the front of the subframe
subframe bushings
motor mounts
Ball joints
tie rod ends

Have fun.

Watch out for a failed cup in the subframe for the front tension strut bushing.

Sparky, can we switch wheels and tires before pushing your car into the lake? Oh and front seats also.

Always looking for a free ride...

It has SHO rims on it, which are kinda blah if you ask me......and a couple of them are starting to rust a little.

BTW.....the lumbar seat rules
