Alright first I start off by saying the other night when it was -41C i tried starting my car, but it wasn't having it. Started for 10 seconds or so, then stalled and was flooded. Finally got the car started the next day after getting all the gas out, plugged it in, no biggie.

How ever today when I was driving into town I noticed a strange hum. Almost sounds like my muffler is going (Sounds like it is coming from the back of the car) But. Say Im doing about 115, and i left off the gas and lightly press it again, i can hear this hum. However, if i floor it, it is not noticeable at all, the car sounds normal. The hum does go away after a minute, but does it at lower speeds tho as well. I put the car in neutral when it did this, but i could not duplicate the sound. I shut the engine off, and it stopped. Im not sure, if it were a muffler it would be constant, not just when im feathering the throttle on the highway right? It is very annoying since I do not know what is causing it.

It sorta sounds like an intake sound, but not really.
I just had the transmission rebuilt 6000kms ago, and a new fuel pump put in 8000kms ago (yes its been expensive couple of months) Do you think it could be the transmission? I hope not its such a pain to be vehicle less. As for other ideas, i have none. Please help
Thanks in advance

Ben.
