I have searched and tried to replace my TPS but can not seem to find a tool that will get the Philips head screws out. Is there some trick? I tried the shortest screw driver I have as well as a right angle screwdriver and a bit on a ratchet to no avail. Thanks for any help. Jim

Well I tried everything in my arsenal this weekend to no avail. Looks like she is heading to the shop. Jim

I too have had my share of bad luck with those damn tight, cramped quarters phillips on a 94 and 95 gl. My luck, skill or patience has gotten better on my gen. 3s. Knock on wood!

They may be corroded and therefore stuck in the throttle body. The last one I changed out was so bad I stripped the screws out trying to get it off. I then cut the heads of the screws off slid the TPS off. with the TPS out of the way I was able to get some big honkin pliers on the shaft of the screws and back them out. I replaced them with hex head bolts.
