I think it's supposed to be 5W-30, but 5W-20 should be perfectly fine. And the Duratech takes 5.5 qt's.
So the smaller the numbers, the runnier the oil, right? If the runny oil gives you better mileage, is there a chance it would yield better performance? Would you be sacrificing the protection of a thicker oil for like the possibilty of a 1/2 hp gain?Originally posted by jtkz13@Dec 8 2003, 08:49 PM
Thats not surprising. Ford & Honda have went to 5W-20 in alot of their engines to help with emission/fuel mileage standards.
