How Much Oil Does A Gen4 Take?

I took my 2003 Taurus with the 3.0l dura engine for an oil change today and the guy put in 6 quarts...i thought it took 5 ... does anyone know what it takes? Thanks

He said he used most of the 6th bottle, but not all of it... so think its ok??? should i be worried here? I just got home, im waiting for my car to settle before i check it.

Ok i just checked it and it was exactly on the full line... i think im good

Btw, this i my first oil change (3000 miles), and i put in the motorcraft synthetic blend 5w-20 oil in, and i plan on putting in amsoil 5w-20 full synthetic the next oil change... do you think this is the right procedure? Thanks again
