Hi everyone,

After overhauling a 3.0 OHV from a 1997 Taurus, I have managed to put everything back the way I found it except for one vacuum connection right behind the throttle body. It sits right underneath the vacuum connection at the manifold for the brake booster. I did some basic testing and discovered that this port is directly behind the throttle body and IAC, not before it. Its a sizeable line, roughly 3/8" OD. I can't imagine this is redundant and should be capped. Any ideas where this should connect? Disconnected, what issues might it cause? Pictures below.

It should be connected to a vacuum hose :) :

That hose runs all the way to the passenger side of the car and ends up in a thingy with a green cap on it, carefully hidden underneath all hoses and wires. No clue what it is. Perhaps Jeff K knows.

Thing with the 2 pin electrical connector and green cap at the pass side firewall is the EVAP solenoid.
