i have noticed that most of the time i have had this car, when it gets to like 4k it likes to flash the battery light and sustained rmps like that dim the lights bad.

im thinking its possibly and alternator or something. its just wierd how it happens at high rpm.

Maybe scored or damaged slip rings combined with weak springs on the brushes in the alternator bouncing at high rpm. Quite the opposite of the usual low rpm/low output issue. Unscrew the regulator/brush holder assembly and look at the rings.
