I have a 2001 Taurus SES and am having issues finding parts for the high rise brake light in the rear windshield. I was informed that half of it was burned out, and when I tore everything apart, the half that was “burned out” had the light socket missing. If anyone knows where I can but a new socket, or even knows a parts number, it would be greatly appreciated.

even though it says "Wagon".

Do you know the bulb number? If so, most likley any auto parts store will have a socket for that bulb number, The mounting for the socket is usally based on the bulb number.

Second switch to a LED bulb as they burn less hot and should not burn the socket. Had the same issue with my 2006 Five Hundred.
