Hello all, Im very new to this forum, as well as the whole fixing cars idea. I believe i know what is causing my issue but i dont know or how to really fix it.

So when i got to start my car, i have no crank, click anything. The power comes on but thats about it. Ive replaced the battery connections, adn cleaned up the posts to make sure a solid connection was there. Still nothing happened.

What inoticed was the issue and made the car start everytime is.. the negative cable that runs to the starter? i belive its the starter... or the engine. not the one going to the battery. If i slighty pulled up on the negative cable and had someome crank it, the car would start not problem.

What could be my issue, i got under the car and followed the wires and seem pretty secure... any ideas what this could be?

The older Tauruses are subject to corrosion under the insulation on the cables. I would buy new cables both pos and neg and replace them. Generic ones from an auto parts store will work.

tighten and clean all the connections on the starter.
