One eveing i went to the store and when i came out i found out my headlights don't work. I put in 55 watt hids with the relay hanress in previously. I figures it might be a grounding issue but when i unplugged the factory harness to check the harness i wasn't getting a ground. The ground which is the center wire and its a constant 12v and also the low beam wire is a constant 12v even the car off. does anyone have a suggestion? Iam thinking maybe the GEM module shorted out.

Ground is the center which is a constant 12V??? Maybe I missed something in electronics class but isn't a ground NOT supposed to have power? I understand it as the center is constant power and the two leads on either side are grounded according to the switch on the stalk.

Make sure your HID kit has a bi-ground instead of bi-power connections.

Have you checked the relays in the harness? I've seen them go bad withing a year of installing them. Also unplug the upgraded harness and plug the factory harness to the bulbs. If the lights work then you know where your problem lies.
