Got It Down To 3 Possible Cars

Yeah, I hate to sound sexist with this, but Gen 4 Sables seem to have a kind of an old woman droopy looking butt to me. I just don't like how much the rear deck slopes down. On the other hand the Gen 4 Taurus has a nice young perky. Sometime I'm tempted to throw a quarter at my bulls backside and see if I get back 50 cents, but then I reconsider cause I don't want to scratch the paint. This is the same reason I don't like the Gen 3's back side. And if you got a spoiler for the Blue taurus off ebay (like 150 shipped WITH paint) it'd look HOT! Maybe get back 75 cents from that quarter then.

the blue one does have a spoiler, you just really see it in the picture.

lol i honestly don't think that a sable has ever looked good with a spoiler...but on a good note, i'm calling the person with the BLUE TAURUS for some information, tomorrow.... Hopefully i'll get that one.

The only thing that i don't like about the <span style="color:blue">blue SES, is there's no leather and moon roof. Things i'm sooo very much use to. But i can always get a "mun roof" (inside joke) installed i guess. I just love the color too much to by-pass it.

I am also very partial to Leather and moon roofs but I have to agree with Twilight, an aftermarket moon roof is not something I would recommend - but leather, that's not a problem to get after the fact.

Besides that, I don't like the blue, it doesn't look like that color belongs on a Taurus. I like the white one, although it is a little bland. If it were me, I'd get the Sable, or even better, hold out for a black Sable.

The 02 looks good, but that price is awfully low, so make SURE it is ok... I blue booked mine for the hell of it and it was almost $13k (kbb and edmunds). Mine is fully loaded and in showroom condition with 20k on it though, so I am not sure what all yours has and the actual condition.

Ok, lets get down to basics:

SEL
Sable LS
SES

Now, lets ask some questions:

1. Engines, they all have the Duratec, stupid question, move on.
2. Seats, whcih have leather and which don't, do you want it?
3. Moonroofs
4. EATC
5. CD changer/player
6 MACH Audio
7. Power seats
8. Side Airbags
9. Traction Control


Answer these and you will know. Also, Moonroofs are a PITA and a greater cost, so finding a factory one is better.

1. all duratecs

2. the only one that doesn't have leather is the SES...leather isn't all that important to me, it's just a bonus. it would probably be better if i didn't have leather because i have my dog in my car all the time, and she slides around in my leather seated sable right now, she has nothing to grip onto.

3. Also, it's a bonus, and i've had it in every single one of my cars...in the end i could do with out side, i'm just partical with em.

4. EATC, they all have it.

5. They all have a compact disc changer

6. They all have the mach audio system (couldn't do without that!!)

7. They all have power seats, both drivers and passenagers

8. The only one that has side air bags is the sable

9. They all have traction control.

Whoa killer, simma dan na!

I wasn't attacking your car or your spoiler. I just don't like the droopy butt syndrome that sables and the Gen 3s have. Same with Pontiac Grand Prixs, "decent" car, but again, droopy butt syndrome.

Wow that's low. Besides, I can easily afford a new car, but there's no point as a) my dad will lose plenty of money on the taurus and b ) It runs good and I'm happy with it, and I like it. I guess if he gets really irrate and takes it away again, I could stick it to him and buy something else (probably a duratec taurus in blue with a spoiler <cough> Bruce <cough>).

Look for the Following:

Duratec
MOONROOF (Factory is way better than aftermarket)
ABS
Factory CD Changer
*MACH AUDIO
*EATC
Power Driver Seat

* If you have EATC, you damn well better get the MACH system since you aftermarket choices don't really exist.

Optional:
Wheels (Chromtec)
Power Passerger Seat
Traction Control (Where you live, would be nice)
Side Airbags (Safety & Nice Insurance Discount)
Leather (Up to you)
Autolamps (once you have them, you'll never go back)
