Yeah, I was thinking about the shaved handles thing. There's a product on the market that's meant to interface with your door locks. It's supposed so if you lock your keys in the car, you can tap a code on the front windsheild to unlock the doors. I was thinking maybe you could interface that with door open solnoids instead. You'd want to keep your alarm still armed independent of the tap though. In fact, it would be best if the solnoids wouldn't work if the doors are locked. That way you'd have to unlock the doors with your FOB and then tap the code to open the driver's side door. You'd probably mount buttons under the dash to pop other doors as needed.
*edit* and install a small backup battery inline with the equipment needed to pop the driver's side door...Make sure there's a diode between the car main power and the backup battery so if something drains the car battery it won't drain your door battery too.
