My local salvage yard had body peices today for $15, so I got a new bumper to replace the one that sum idiot in a Ford Ranger ran over. However the only one in good shape was the ligher green, and my cars the darker green. How should I go about stripping the paint...or should i just paint over it? Also I thought about cutting 1/4-1/8 off the bottom of the old bumper, and attatching it to the buttom of the new bumper, do a little fiber glass and bondo magic and get a bodykit looking bumper in result. the opening for the exaust would be there because they both round off, and then i could install screens and tips. Am I crazy? What do y'all think?

I'll post some pictures of what i have/got in a little while

There are chemicals to strip the shine so the paint will stick or you could use some 600 grit sandpaper.

Whats your paint code from the driver side door? Mine is SU (Amazon Green) and I can't find any...Have got it made for like $25 a can.
