As the title says need some help removing a radio in an '04 taurus. Tryed using the removal tools, but nothing. I even tryed pushing from the back while the removal tools were in the radio, but nothing. Is there something that I am missing here? Need help cause the guys want his system installed. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

my radio was the same way with the keys that i bought from wal mart. i had to get a better set of keys to get it out, it almost feels like the clips are broken, but they are not, they are just really tricky.

In an '04 Taurus? I don't think you can because the ABS runs off it for some strange reason.
they probably make a T adapter for it like they do for most GM's. once again, the auto makers have found a way to make it harder to do anything by yourself <_<

Actually, I think the reason is because the airbag off switch is built in the radio.. and the airbag warning light will come on if you remove the radio...

but thats just something im trying to recall from my memory from a while ago.

I'll try it again with the removal tools. All I need to do is to remove the radio to hook up a remote wire for an amp. Plus the car doesn't have ABS, but yes the pass airbag light is in the radio/climate controll pannel.
