I've got daytime running lights on my gen4 and I would like to disable them. I was unable to find a fuse for them in the manual. Is there some sort of bypass or something I need to do...anyone know how to get rid of them?
well, i believe they work the same as on a gen 3......
you need to pull out the plastic cover inside your fender on the drivers side....you will see the intake twards the front of the car. infront of that is a little black module pluged into a harness. you need to remove it AND REPLACE IT with a "jumper". These jumpers can be found on any gen 3/4 WITHOUT daytime running lights.
IMO Daytime Running Lights should be scrapped. Because most people on the road are morons and they think their headlights are on at night, so they dont turn them on. And then I come up at 70 mph on the expressway and almost run into them because they are doing 40 mph and have no lights on.

sheeot, if u dont want em, give em to me, i want em for the parking lights. like the vettes. but i do agree tehy are worthless for a headlight use, i hate those dumbasses who have em on and not thier real headlights.
I actually always turn my headlights on in the daytime. It helps to get people out of your way when they drive slow on the highway. Also, all the old people here in Florida see you a little better. I also, love the look of my PIAA's
Daytime running lights are simply your low-beam headlights at 75% power.
My dad uses the parking lights with the DRLs when driving the van because he says they're brighter than the low beams on his '81 Escort.
I used to drive around the same way until I figured out that if I have the regular headlights on, there's more light entering my eyes which makes on coming headlights less bright and gives me less of a eye-ache.
