Look into buying a Hypertech programer. If it's available, it contains two optimized tuning programs. 1 for regular 87 octane gasoline, and the other for 93 octane gasoline. You can set the tuning program and keep your fuel octane to remain at 87 while adjusting the Engine Rev Limiter, control cooling Fan On/Off temperatures, Transmission Shift Points, improve shift firmness, adjust the speed limiter, make speedometer corrections.

I think it's the only chip/non-chip that will allow you to run on 87 octane.
