I want to drain my rad on a Gen 3 Vulcan (99SE). I removed to black plastic protector plate, and assume that I want to loosen that white plastic nut on the left side of the rad (the wingnut on my Gen 2 was in basically the same location), and the coolant will flow out the black tube beside it, is that correct? Anything to watch out for? I've been getting an occasional loss of heat at idle, and wanted to flush and change coolant as first attempt at a solution, temp guage is steady at a little under half way mark, I assume thermostat is okay.

Thanks
